About the Project
A community-focused initiative promoting health awareness, prevention, and healthy practices among young people and local communities. The project addresses key health concerns including HPV, HIV/AIDS, hygiene, prevention, and the impacts of climate change on health. Through community-based awareness sessions, the project helps people better understand health risks and make informed decisions about their well-being.
Objectives
- Increase awareness of HPV, HIV/AIDS, and disease prevention.
- Promote healthy practices, hygiene, and community well-being.
- Build understanding of the health impacts of climate change, including heat, water insecurity, changing disease patterns, and environmental risks.
- Encourage early attention to health concerns and access to appropriate health services.
- Strengthen community knowledge and participation in health promotion.
Key Activities
The project delivers community health awareness sessions, youth engagement activities, outreach, and information-sharing sessions. Topics include HPV prevention and vaccination awareness, HIV prevention and stigma reduction, personal hygiene, healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and climate change impacts on health.
Beneficiaries
Youth, children, families, and community members in underserved and vulnerable communities in Skardu, Khaplu and Hunza.
